Ohio Crankshaft is awarded an order to manufacture ten Tier 4 camshaft assemblies for Progress Rail's new generation engine.

2016

Third quarter, Ohio Crankshaft becomes a major participant in the Progress Rail crankshaft and camshaft reconditioning program. In 2017 over first year, Ohio Crankshaft reconditioned over 700 crankshafts

2012

The Leadwell LTC-60CXL turning center is added to replace the Leblond Lathe.

2011

Samsung SL45MC turning center added to help compliment the Warner Swasey lathe.

2008

CNC cells added to Ohio Crankshaft's equipment base, Hyundia Kia SKT250 lathe, Hyundia Kia VX500 machining center, Camshaft LMU 48 lobe mill, first of two QPAC Micro Polishers, Kitamura Machining center.

2007

'H' engine gains popularity in Asia. Ohio Crankshaft sole supplier to EMD.

2006

Ohio Crankshaft refines the 'H' engine crankshaft manufacturing process. Produces a single piece 16 cylinder crankshaft with very strict hardness & straightness specifications.

Development of a horizontal forging press with Park Drop Forge to manufacture a single piece crankshaft for use in 6000 HP 4 cycle 'H' engine.

1970

Sole supplier of cam & crankshafts to Detroit Diesel Allison Division.

Merger of Park Drop Forge Co. and Ohio Crankshaft

1950's

Ohio Crankshaft's parts could be found in tugboats, construction and oil drilling equipment, tractors, trucks & trains.

1940's

War production of Crankshafts used in WWII planes in the Pacific Theater (F4F Wildcat, F6F Hellcat, Douglas SBD Dauntless, F4U Corsairs, B-29 Superfortress, B-32 Dominator, C-119 Flying Boxcar).

1930's

Added two additional plants nearby and fourth facility at 3800 Harvard Ave. (current location)

1922

Ohio Crankshaft moved into facilities at 6600 Clement Ave.

1920

Ohio Crankshaft was incorporated by William C. Dunn to manufacture crankshafts and camshafts for diesel engines.

1907

Park Drop Forge was incorporated.
